Thank You for Supporting Our UK & Dublin Tour!
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported, donated, and wished us well during our recent 10-day tour from June 14 to 23, 2025, to the United Kingdom and Ireland. Your encouragement made this experience truly special!
Fostering unity, friendship, and shared humanity, the Georgia Symphony Orchestra Chamber Chorus, led by Dr. Bryan Black (founded in 2007), teamed up once again with the Uzee Brown Society of Choraliers, directed by Dr. Uzee Brown Jr. (founded in 2009), for a profoundly moving concert tour.
Our performances took place at remarkable venues, including:
Mary Abbots Church, London: Featured a special guest appearance by The London African Gospel Choir. Donations from this concert supported Glass Door Homeless Charity, providing shelter and essential services to the unsheltered.
Llandaff Cathedral, Cardiff**: We shared the stage with the renowned Morriston Orpheus, a celebrated Welsh men’s choir, for a memorable performance.
Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin: Highlighted by the presence of the Cuore Chamber Choir, enriching the tapestry of our musical experience.
This tour was rooted in the belief that, while history often emphasizes divisions—war, adversity, and difference—music serves as a powerful reminder of our shared humanity. Through a program of gospel and choral works, our singers conveyed a message of hope, fellowship, and solidarity, transcending cultural, racial, and socioeconomic boundaries.
We are proud to have been part of this journey, which powerfully illustrates how music brings people together. Thank you once again for your unwavering support!
Thank you,
Dr. Uzee Brown, Jr.

Jubilation, Celebration, and Thanksgiving is a vibrant collection of sacred and secular music created, arranged, and performed by African Americans. This tapestry features a rich blend of spirituals, gospels, anthems, hymns, syncopated jazz, and popular music. Each selection in this recording has been thoughtfully curated to honor the diverse musical heritage of African Americans, showcasing a colorful array of compositions by both American and African American composers and arrangers.
In addition to the chorus, talented soloists enrich this diverse repertoire, which includes standout pieces such as "Toccata of Praise," a jubilant anthem by American composer Joseph Martin, and "Examine Me," an anthem crafted by renowned African American composer and Take Six member Cedric Dent. The album also features an exciting and rhythmically engaging arrangement of "Study War No More" by Joseph Joubert, alongside a stirring first-time recording of "I Thank the Lord," an original gospel song by Atlanta-born composer Clarence Robinson. Additionally, you’ll find the uplifting spiritual "I’m Gonna Live So God Can Use Me," arranged by Uzee Brown.
The musical journey continues with a lively, toe-tapping rendition of Fats Waller’s "The Joint Is Jumpin’," a work song titled "Music In the Mine" by R. Nathaniel Dett, a captivating arrangement of "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" by Nathan Carter, and the album concludes on a high note with "Age of Aquarius" by Galt McDermot, leaving listeners inspired and uplifted.
